What does inspiring impact really look like?
For us, it’s students in Greece helping to build a school in Uganda. It’s communities coming together and proving that no matter where you are, you can be part of something bigger. That’s exactly what happened when we joined forces with Doukas School during their Life Stance Day, a celebration of Interculturalism and community spirit. Together, we connected this mindset with a cause at the heart of That Gorilla Brand - building a new school in Nyagakenke Village, Uganda in partnership with The Gorilla Organization.
Meet the Next Generation of Changemakers
We challenged 10 students to become TGB Brand Ambassadors, leading the way in spreading awareness across their school. Their mission was clear:
“TGB x Doukas: Let’s Build A School Together.”
To turn words into action, we launched a limited-edition TGB x Doukas t-shirt, donating 150 pieces to the school community. Each tee came with a suggested contribution of €25, with 100% of proceeds going directly to our GoGetFunding campaign, supporting the construction of the new school in Nyagakenke Village, right in the heart of Uganda’s conservation areas.
Turning Sports into Support
Impact doesn’t just happen. You have to move for it. We organised a series of athletic events, from basketball and football matches to running challenges. Every student who joined contributed a €5 registration fee and received a kit including a numbered race bib, a leaflet explaining the project, a TGB brand booklet, and three exclusive stickers to keep the spirit of the day alive. It wasn’t just about competition. It was about showing how every step, every goal, and every point scored could help build something lasting.
Where Action Met Purpose
The atmosphere on event day was electric. While students took to the courts and tracks, two dedicated corners gave them the chance to grab their limited-edition tees and wear their impact with pride. We also presented That Gorilla Brand’s story at the DAIS Cultural and Sports Center, sharing how fashion, community, and purpose come together to create real-world change.
By the end of the day, we had raised over €3,000. That’s not just a number but a proof that when people come together, they can turn local action into global impact.
The Journey Continues
We’re still counting the final contributions but one thing is clear. This isn’t just about building a school. It’s about proving that when communities unite, impact has no borders.
From Greece to Uganda we moved on to France, where the journey continued. On May 4th, we headed to Lake Annecy for Adventure For A Cause #9, where our Troop took on the challenge to help raise funds for the renovation and construction of Nyagakenke Village Primary School. We’re proud to share that we met our fundraising target, a huge milestone made possible by the collective effort of our community.
