SS25 KISORO COLLECTION - A collection Rooted In Exploration & Impact Reading Positive Tracks: A Visual Story of Hope, Habitat, and Humanity 2 minutes

Positive Tracks is a new book we’ve created to mark our five-year journey supporting conservation and community-led change in Uganda’s Bwindi region. With words by Kathy Chan and never-before-seen photography by Ian Reid, it captures the powerful bond we’ve witnessed between mountain gorillas and the communities working tirelessly to protect them.More than a collection of beautiful and unique images, this book tells the story of real impact on the ground—from clean water systems and school rebuilds to sustainable farming and grassroots sports programs. It highlights the people at the heart of the movement: reformed poachers who became farmers, young footballers creating safer futures, and local leaders working to build a better tomorrow for both people and wildlife.

We created Positive Tracks not just to celebrate our five-year journey, but to document what’s possible when people come together with a shared purpose. This book is about hope, resilience, and the power of long-term commitment. It’s our way of showing how conservation only works when communities thrive too.

Inside the book, you’ll meet people like Sam Mugisha, a former Rwandan refugee who founded a grassroots running club that’s given dozens of young people a chance at a better life. Or Regina Sanyu, who works directly with reformed poachers, helping them transition into sustainable livelihoods. These stories, and many more, are living proof that change is possible.

With 207 pages and two cover colour options—green and black—Positive Tracks invites you to see what we’ve seen, feel what we’ve felt, and understand the power of community-first conservation.
